Every photographer goes through seasons. Some are spent making photographs. Others are spent organizing, writing, learning, and tending the work already created.

I’m entering one of those quieter seasons for a little while.

There is much to finish behind the scenes, so creating new work will be paused. Before stepping away, I wanted to share a photograph that has waited nearly a decade to find its place.

Two Palms was made in 2017 and somehow remained quietly tucked away in my Lightroom catalog. It seemed like an appropriate photograph to leave with you while I’m away.

It was made not far from my home. Perhaps that is why it stayed buried for so long. Familiar places can become easy to overlook. It happens to all of us.
